Well Nexus 6 is surely a high end competitor to other devices at this range but is also restricted from giving the best output it with-holds because if I am holding that type of power in my palms then surely I would really love to try a lot many things which other devices can’t but guys! You need root access to do that and here we are bringing you simple yet powerful root access method.
PRE ROOT REQUIREMENTS:
- 75% or above charged NEXUS6 device.
- Complete backup of your device’s data using applications available at play store.
Step 1 : To begin with the rooting process you need to first switch your nexus into bootloader, to do so you need to power off your mobile then after few seconds press on the volume down button and power button both together and hold it till the bootloader menu appears on the screen now when you see the menu connect your nexus to the computer using the USB cable.
Step 2 : Now that we have bootloader screen, we need to ensure that the appropriate drivers are installed, this step is taken so that the chainfire auto root process can perform properly and that can only happen when the computer is properly connected to your device, now if you don’t already have the drivers then you need to download them if you are a windows user and download it if you are a linux user ( download them and run it using linux command program). This drivers link is only for windows and linux users, if you are using any other OS then please mention in the comments.
Step 3 : So after having the drivers installed successfully we need the ChainFire software from which you will get a zip folder from which you need to then extract the contents of the folder on the desktop.
Step 4 : Now once you extract the contents of the folder you will see three different files named after the OS, select the file whose corresponding OS you are using i.e if you are a windows user then select windows file and if you are a linux user then select linux file.
Step 5 : Once you open it a pop up window will show a message that says ChainFire will now unlock the bootloader if you haven’t unlocked it before. Please make sure that before performing this step your device’s data is all backed up as after this process is completed all of your data will be lost, so once you are sure about the backup press any key to continue the process.
Step 6 : Now once if you have clicked the key and if your device was not previously unblocked then you will see a red android logo appearing on your screen for about 1 minute now if your phone was unblocked then you will automatically be redirected to the rooting screen, when this step comes for around 20 seconds you will find few texts rolling on your screen.
Step 7 : When this screen goes off the phone will automatically reboot and when it starts your nexus 6 will now be rooted and powered up to take in some heavy apps you were previously prohibited to use.
Step 8 : Now to manage and check your root permissions you can use handful of apps, we recommend root checker which once installed will ask you to grant the Superuser permission and finally you can play however you want with your device.
