Starting with a new brand apart from the regular 5 targeted smartphone manufacturers, we are going to root our Gionee Elife E7 Mini today which came out to the public in December month two year back. The device sporting medium ranged specs came with 4.7 Inches of screen boosting 720 * 1280 pixels resolution under which came a mediatek chipset of MT6592 along with octa core cortex A7 and mali 450MP4 giving the clockwork at 1.7GHz.
Well in this device the company did not offer any card space in this device for external memory but it came with one option of 16GB storage. Well notably the good thing about this little buddy is that the camera on it is a rotating camera which hence gives a 13MP awesome photos on both the sides which makes this device have an upper hand in its category comparison.
So what is the point in rooting E7 mini? Two big reasons are storage and performance!! That is actually the biggest and proper reasons to explain the need of rooting this type of devices.
PRE ROOT REQUIREMENTS:
- So for starting the process we will be needing the device to be charged with 80% so that at least while we root our device, the battery problem doesn’t show up.
- Once charged take proper back up of all the data on your device and store it in some place safe so that if something goes wrong then at least the data can be restored back.
- Once done with both of the things you will have to allow the installation of unknown apps on your device if you haven’t already so go to settings and do it.
Guide For Root Gionee Elife E7 Mini
Step 1 : So the core part for successfully rooting this device is an app called framaroot which you will find, so download it on your computer and store it on your desktop.
Step 2 : After you download it, you will have to shift your app from computer to your device using the cable provided to you by the company.
Step 3 : After storing the app on your device, go to the folder where you kept the app and click on it to begin the installation process, while installing there is a chance of getting a prompt message saying that this app is not safe to install but there is nothing to worry you can go straight away and install it.
Step 4 : Now when you have installed the app, open it to select “install SuperSU” from the menu and when clicked on it you will be shown different types of names which are for different exploits out of which you have to select Boromir and click on it, when you do so, rooting on your device will begin and take around 3-4 minutes to get completed.
Step 5 : When it is done with the rooting procedure on your device it will show you a text saying that success, Supersu has been successfully installed, when you see this message click on ok button which will re start your device and if it doesn’t do on itself then manually re start your device.
Step 6 : When the devices starts up you will be able to see a new app among your other apps which will be called SuperSU, this app will now handle all the hard work for you like allowing apps for root authentication.
If you don’t find this app installed on your device then download root checker from the play store and check if the device has root permissions or not, if not then try again the same process from the beginning and after completion download and install supersu manually (If it is not previously installed, DON’T install it before trying the method, only install this app manually if method does not work).
